I take along my camera every time I leave the house—the south Okanagan Valley is such a beautiful place, you just never know what you'll see. There are breathtaking views from Anarchist Mountain of Lake Osoyoos. There are orchards in bloom, vineyards displaying their fruit in late summer, wineries galore with interesting views. There are rare species of wildlife, including painted turtles, salamanders, snakes, horses, Bighorn sheep, and bears, plus lakes, golf courses, nooks and crannies teaming with wild flowers and plants indigenous to our area. I am so grateful to live in this area of Canada. It gives me solitude, tranquility, and a place to call home. B.C. has given me a new lease on life; I've become more health conscious and more active. Time to go out for a walk with my camera to take more pictures of this beautiful "desert" area I call Home! (collapse)
